Joaquín Sofredini is an Argentinian composer, actor and countertenor.

From an early age, he studied popular music in his hometown with

Silvia Massimi.

In 1998, he moved to Buenos Aires to begin his actor career at the Roberto Arlt Institute. The same year, he took part in various plays. During this period, Carlos De Martino, a singing teacher, discovers Joaquín's counter-tenor talents.

In 2000, he returned to his hometown and began singing lessons as a counter-tenor at the Higher Institute of Music in Santa Fe with Rosmarie Helf while continuing his studies of actor with Rubén Clavenzani.

In 2004, he won a grant from the National Arts Fund to perfect his vocal range with renowned singer and actor Ricardo Yost. It was in Bueno Aires that he took over his drama classes with Maria Luisa Gingles that same year. At the same time, he met the composer and harpsichordist Mónica Cosachov (co-founder of "Camerata Bariloche") with whom he started chamber music studies.

His encounter in 2007 with the singer and teacher Marilú Anselmi, allows him to continue his studies of counter-tenor at the Conservatory Beethoven. Joaquin poses as a model for Aldo Bressi, a renowned photographer, at Beauty Models. In the crowd, he decided to join Monteverde Models and participated in advertising campaigns in Argentina and other countries.

 

In 2008, he received a scholarship from the Fundación Beethoven for his artistic talents.

In 2009 he directs the opera Orfeo and Euridice (Gluck), represented in the Auditorium of the Conservatorio Beethoven, interpreting the role of Orfeo.

Between August 2011 and November 2012, Joaquín joined the casting of the play Espectros in the CCC (Centro Cultural de la Cooperación) where he played with Ingrid Pélicori and Walter Quiroz. He creates his own AVE show, offering his audience the discovery of songs from different musical styles.

 

For the first time in 2014 at the Maipo Theater is played El Ave, a theatrical concert, conducted in collaboration with Julian Vat and Linda Peretz.

 

The specialised press served him excellent criticism in 2015 when he represented himself for the second part of El Ave at the La Comedia Theater. At the end of the year, he presents his first track: Do not go away.

 

Joaquín Sofredini is in perpetual development of projects and his collaboration of songwriter with Julian Vat opens the way to new musical styles.
